A Growing Passion is a series about real gardens, created by ordinary people who happen to be extraordinary gardeners. Their passion for gardening nourishes other passions, such as the passion for health, for wellness, for nature, art, creativity, family and relationships.

Most importantly, passionate gardeners are passionate about life itself. The examples they set are an inspiration to all – whether gardener or not.

A Growing Passion is hosted by Nan Sterman, an expert gardener and garden writer who is located in San Diego County.

Nan is well known for promoting the use of California native plants, plants of the Southwest deserts, and low-water Mediterranean climate plants in California’s gardens. Vegetable gardening, fruit trees, subtropical plants, recycling, compost, vermi-compost, and drip irrigation are just a few areas of Nan’s expertise.
